Marine biodiversity and ecosystems are at a climatic crossroads, and the world is demanding effective solutions to tackle climate change in order to maintain natural services provided by the ocean. My research focuses on understanding the responses of marine ecosystems and fisheries to climate change, and explore solution options to ¿avoid the unmanageable¿ and to ¿manage the unavoidable¿ risks associated with these changes. I aim to understand the adaptive capacity of marine biodiversity and fisheries, explore the effectiveness of human interventions to boost adaptation of marine systems, and identify plausible solutions to implement these interventions.
