Electro Carbon is a young and dynamic company specialized in the development of innovative and disrupting technologies oriented towards the valorization of carbon dioxide. The excellence of Electro Carbon technology has led them to obtain several prizes and acknowledgements from public and private organisms. Always concerned about the protection of the environment, Electro Carbon arises to meet global needs on the greenhouse gases emission reduction and climate change fight.Likewise, Electro Carbon is interested in the development of commercial CO2 electrolysers. Captured CO2 is converted into a value-added compound, potassium formate. This technology could help to reach emissions reduction targets, while generating a high-value and strategic product in an economically feasible process. The project will include the recovery, purification and testing of potassium formate as deicing agent for using in airports and routes crossing environmentally protected areas. The electrochemical performance of the system will be optimized while formulations of deicing agent will be tested in terms of commercial standards. The project focuses on the zero-waste concept and circular economy, by exploring the valorization of gaseous emissions. The production of green chemicals will consolidate the leading position of Electro Carbon in North America as an environmentally responsible enterprise.
