院士专家系列数学科普讲座

本项目将邀请国内的数学院士专家就数学科普到中学、大学进行专题讲座，从数学进步的历史轨迹、数学进展、数学典故、数学人物、文学或艺术中的数学、数学在生活中的应用等多角度切入进行讲解，旨在开阔青年教师和学生的视野，让学生和青年教师更多的了解数学的思想方法和思维方式，了解数学科学与人类社会发展之间的相互作用，体会数学的科学价值、应用价值、人文价值。通过这些讲座激发学生学习数学的兴趣，提高学生的数学素养，宣传数学在经济社会发展与国防中的重要作用。

This project will invite mathematicians who are members of academy and mathematics scholars in China to give special lectures aiming for the popularization of mathematics among students and young teachers in middle schools and universities. The lectures will cover the historical trajectory on the progress of mathematics, advances in mathematics, mathematical allusions, mathematical figures, mathematics in literature or arts, and the real life applications of mathematics. The purpose for these lectures is to broaden the horizons of young teachers and students, so that they can have a better understanding of mathematical thinking method and mathematical way of thinking, interaction between mathematics and sciences and human social development. They will also appreciate better the scientific, application and humanistic values of experiencing mathematics. Through these lectures, students will be inspired to have interest to study mathematics. These lectures will enhance students’ mathematical literacy as well as promote the understanding of the importance of mathematics in economic and social development and national defense.
