Mathematical Sciences: Numerical Analysis and Applied Partial Differential Equations

在这个项目中，PI将继续他正在进行的对某一类非线性偏微分方程的数值解的分析和算法开发的研究，特别是那些来自气体动力学和Hamilton-Jacobi方程及其在噪声存在下的修正形式。研究结果对流体力学和随机最优控制问题具有一定的指导意义。

In this project, the PI will continue his on-going research on the analysis and algorithm development for the numerical solutions of a certain class of nonlinear PDE particularly those from gas dynamics and the Hamilton-Jacobi equations as well as their modified form in the presence of noise. The research results will be useful in fluid mechanics and stochastic optimal control problems.
