Comparative religious study of"peace and violence"in modern Islam

为了对现代伊斯兰教中的“和平与暴力”问题进行多角度的研究，我们由中东研究、伊斯兰神秘主义、伊斯兰政治思想、伊朗问题等多位学者组成，（伊斯兰复兴主义）作为宗教运动的框架，国际政治或中东危机，但我们致力于“和平与暴力”作为一个紧迫的主题，从许多不同的角度研究现代伊斯兰教。我们的研究成果涵盖了宗教研究、亚洲和平与共存等多个课题，由于每一项研究都涉及到宗教中的“和平与暴力”问题，形成了一个新的学术观点。在伊斯兰世界，有使用武力的激进激进组织，也有呼吁和平的温和组织。在这一地区的政治和经济动荡中，这些群体之间的冲突似乎并没有停止。由于他们都有宗教理想和政治借口，事情变得更加混乱。我们的研究不仅促进了与温和派的对话，而且试图通过分析激进派的思想基础和政治背景来寻找动乱的主要因素。并将中东、亚洲、美国和欧洲的伊斯兰世界的研究与世界意识形态或日本传统思想的发展趋势进行了比较。从这个意义上说，我们成功地将这些独特而有价值的研究成果吸引了公众。这些成果也有助于促进我国的外交政策或不同文明之间的对话。

To carry out the research of "peace and violence" in modern Islamism with multiple viewpoint, we consisted of various scholars such as Middle Eastern studies, Islamic mysticism, Islamic political thought, Iran issues, etc, We do not consider modern Islamism (Islamic revivalism) as just a frame work of religious movement, international politics or Middle East crisis but we worked on "peace and violence" as an urgent subject to study modern Islam from many different angles. Products of our research cover a range of topics including religious studies, peace and coexistence of Asia, etc, and since each study came down to the subject of "peace and violence" in religion, it formed a new academic point of view.In Islamic world, there are radical militant groups which use force and moderate groups which call for peace. The conflicts between these groups don't seem to cease in political and economical turmoil of this area. Since they both have a religious ideals and political pretexts, things have gotten more confused. Our research not only promoted dialogues with moderate groups, but also tried to search for primary factors of the turmoil by analyzing the ideological base and political background of radical groups. We also compared research of Islamic world of Middle East, Asia, the United States and Europe with global tendency of ideologies or Japanese traditional thoughts. In that sense, we succeeded in appealing such unique and valuable research results to the public. These results are also able to contribute to promote our country's diplomatic policy or dialogues among civilizations.
