The Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) in the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. perceives the publication of scientific research results in open access as an essential contribution to improving scientific communication. DFG funding is intended to support the financing of the open access transformation towards a publication-based accounting. The funds will be managed in the library as a central department. During the funding period, structures are to be established at IGB in order to transparently identify the available resources for publications as well as their number and costs as automated and standardized as possible.
