Research on Social Support and Coping that the Childhood Cancer Survivor Needs

在京都大学医院和名古屋医疗中心的门诊建立了儿童癌症幸存者的长期随访系统，以便在第一阶段治疗后提供适当的信息。在诊所，我教育病人和他们的家人为什么定期检查是必要的。此外，通过收集卵母细胞冷冻保存和/或捐赠的意见，分析他们未来生育的意愿和愿望。这些成果在国内和国际学术会议上发表了大量的科学论文。现在，我们一直在借鉴国外成功的支持系统，努力建立更好的长期跟踪系统。

Long-term follow-up system to manage childhood cancer survivors were established at outpatient clinics in Kyoto University Hospital and Nagoya Medical Center in order to provide the appropriate information after the first-stage treatments. At the clinics, I educated the patients and their families why the regular checkups were necessary. Additionally, their willing and desire for fertility in future were analyzed by collecting the opinions for oocyte cryopreservation and/or donation. These results were represented as a lot of scientific papers at not only national but also international congresses. Now, we have been trying to make much better long-term follow-up system by referring the successful support systems in foreign countries.
