To investigate the association of aberrant connectivity within and between task positive and negative neural networks in ADHD across the lifespan compared to controls. To investigate the stage of information processing that is deficient in ADHD, in particular separating out early sensory processing from later cortical control deficits. It is hypothesized that aberrant neural processes seen in ADHD are similar to those described in the literature during mind wandering states in healthy (non-ADHD individuals). The project will investigate the hypotheses that sensory decoupling and deficient context regulation, seen during periods of mind wandering control in populations, underlie the systems and impairment of ADHD.
