Investigating the design of arts projects to support the wellbeing, resilience, and integration of refugees.

Primarily, we look to explore the following central question: How can arts interventions be designed to benefit and support refugees and forcibly displaced people?We pose the following sub-questions as a guide to the challenges and contributions at the centre of this project. How to understand and measure the benefits of participation (wellbeing, resilience, social inclusion, and belonging)?What role might arts interventions play in the preservation of culture, heritage, and identity of displaced people?What are the most significant barriers to participation and how can these be overcome? How to design and facilitate long-term engagement with participants?
