This award is for partial support of the Third U.S. National Conference on Earthquake Engineering which will be held in Charleston, South Carolina on August 24-27, 1987. The conference coincides with the 100th anniversary of the 1886 Charleston Earthquake. Scientific information and research results will be presented through a series of papers, special lectures, and poster sessions. The conference will also offer a major public awareness program including student activites and special publications.
