A half-day symposium entitled "Molecular and Genetic Organization of Plant Genomes" will be held between August 6 and August 10, 1989, at the annual meetings of the Genetics Section of the Botanical Society of America in conjunction with the American Institute of Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto. This symposium represents part of a continuing effort by the Genetics Section to encourage the application of molecular genetics to botanical problems.
