Clark Atlanta University has received support for a one-year project to provide opportunity for faculty in the mathematics and education programs at Clark Atlanta, working with exemplary middle school teachers in the Atlanta area, to study current developments in mathematics education, visit sites and consult with experts specializing in professional development of middle school mathematics teachers, and develop and test mathematics courses designed especially for middle school mathematics teachers. Cost share in an amount equal to 5% of the award is provided by the university.
