9553507 Granger The University of Missouri, in collaboration wilth St. Louis University and Washington University, will initiate a 6-week, summer commuter, Young Scholars project in multi-disciplinary science for 50 students intering grade 12. The program is for high abililty students in St. Louis, Missouri. The program provides a research experience with a university professor in astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer sicence, mathematics, physics, and psychology. In addition to a research experience and clasroom lectures and discussion in mathematics and various scientific disciplines, students are provided with formal instruciton on technical communication skills and career confabs which expose them to a variety of technically oriented job possibilities.
