Biometrics is an emerging critical area for homeland security. The proposed effort will conduct a study of biometrics. In particular, the following activities will be carried out:Survey the state-of-the-art in BiometricsExamine the current biometrics technologies and determine areas for future workIdentify the needs of the government in biometricsProduce a report that summarizes the findings. The participants of this study will be from academia, industry and government who are experts in the field.
