英文摘要
Both the scientific community and practitioners perceive Production planning and control (PPC) and productivity management as mostly separated fields. This is reasonable because the tasks and methods differ. However, it evokes the risk to overlook fundamental relations between these disciplines: PPC greatly determines the input and the output of a production, the two main factors of productivity, so that productivity improvements will be ineffective without adjusting the PPC parameters. So far, a model is missing, that thoroughly describes the relationships between the PPC and productivity management with a consistent terminology and that is based on quantitative correlations. The aim of this research project is to develop such a model. To achieve this, the first main objective is to develop a consistent model for productivity management. The model is intended to describe, how the yet to be defined functions of productivity management regulate the actuating variables, which in turn determine labor productivity via the control variables. The second main goal is to connect this model with the existing manufacturing control model. The resulting overall model should (1) describe the interdependencies between PPC and productivity management qualitatively and quantitatively, (2) deduce the main relationships and target conflicts and (3) enable a systematic and coordinated configuration of PPC and productivity management.
