This project comprises the coordination of the priority program SPP 1239 MagneticShape It is intended to support the organisation of colloquiums and focus meetings. The inter-disciplinary questions require the collaboration of material scientists, engineers, mathe-maticians and physicists. By regular colloquiums of all participants every year a coherent exchange of knowledge is obtained. Additionally three focus meetings per year will ac-celerate the exchange of know-how on specific topics. Due to the application relevant topic of this SPP, interested persons from industry are in-vited to these meeting. To establish an international network, the collaboration and ex-change of scientists with partners abroad is supported. In order to intensify the exchange of knowledge, the internet platform www.MagneticShape.de will be expanded to reach a broader scientific as well as popular science audience.
