Further development of the Specialised Information Service for Slavic languages, literature and ethnology in close cooperation with the Slavists in Germany

Since 2016, the SBB PK has been developing an FID Slavic Studies as part of the DFG program “Specialized Information Services for Science” (FID). The aim of the third funding period is to intensify the coordination and cooperation with the Slavists, to take more direct account of their requirements for information services for the further development of research in Germany and to present the offers for subject-related information services in a modern infrastructure. In addition to the expansion and further development of the already existing services (such as media acquisition, Slavistk-Portal, DoD, online contents FID Slavistics, content and depth indexing, OA repository SlavDok, MultiSlavDict, national and international cooperation), FID Slavic Studies is planning to establish a corpus of the Church Slavic and a database of German translations of Slavic literature SLAW-DE. The cooperation with similarly oriented FID will be developed within the framework of the NordOst network.
