研究の目的は、外国人住民の避難行動に関する知識の実態を調査し、避難行動に関する知識に影響する要因を検討することであり、これにより在留外国人を対象とした減災・防災に関する体験型減災教育モデルを開発するための基礎資料とすることである。本年度、災害時に外国人留学生を支援した経験のある日本人を対象としたインタビューを実施し、被災した外国人留学生に必要と考えられる支援について検討を行い、学会発表等で結果を報告した。また、日本留学中に被災した外国人留学生に対してインタビューを実施しており、その分析結果から、災害時における外国人留学生に必要な自助・共助について検討しており、その結果について論文執筆を行った。また、上記の研究結果を基に、昨年度までに作成した質問項目に従って、本年度は、全国の国立大学の留学生を対象とし、適切な避難に関する知識について調査を開始する予定としていた。しかし、コロナ等の影響により、研究対象者である外国人留学生の確保が難しく必要数のデータ収集を実施することが難しい状況が生じた。そのため、調査方法の再検討を行い、全国の国立大学の留学生支援課等（留学生に対する担当窓口文書）に協力を依頼することとなった。また、質問紙は多言語で実施予定であったが、英語のみとし、外国人留学生が少ない場合でも分析可能な質問紙のフォーマットへ変更することを検討した。これらの質問紙調査は、オンラインで調査実施する方針に変更することとなった。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the state of knowledge related to the evacuation of foreign residents, to discuss the main causes of knowledge related to the evacuation of foreign residents, and to develop basic data related to disaster reduction and prevention. This year, we report on the results of the survey and evaluation of the support for foreign students during disasters and the support for Japanese students during disasters. For foreign students studying in Japan who are affected by disasters, the analysis results are carried out. For foreign students who are affected by disasters, the necessary self-help and co-assistance are carried out. The results of the study were based on the findings of the previous year's survey, and the findings of the current year's survey were based on the findings of the national university's survey. The impact of the study on foreign students is difficult to ensure, and the number of students involved in the study is difficult to implement. We will continue to work together with the International Student Support Section of National Universities throughout the country (responsible for international student support) to review the survey methods. In addition, I would like to discuss the fact that the questioning paper has many words and can be used to determine the actual situation, the importance of English, and the possibility of analyzing the questioning paper in situations where there are few foreign students.
