日本と海外の医学、看護系文献を当該テーマについて調べ、本邦では、高齢者ケアに携わる多職種の倫理的ジレンマについての研究が少なく、その特徴や価値の対立の様相も明確にはなっていたいことがわかった。そのため本研究では、日本で高齢者ケアに携わる社会福祉士、理学療法士、作業療法士、介護支援専門員、介護福祉士、介護職がどのような倫理的ジレンマに直面するのかまずその基礎的で基盤となるようなデータを得ることにした。高齢者ケアにたずさわる多職種の直面する倫理的ジレンマについて、社会福祉士、理学療法士、作業療法士、介護支援専門員、介護福祉士、介護職に対して、そのジレンマの内容と各職種間での価値の対立を明らかにするインタビュー調査を実施している。対象は、急性期、回復期、その他で２年以上高齢者ケアに従事する専門職を対象としている。インタビュー内容は主として、各自が高齢者ケアで直面した高齢者へのよきことをめぐっての倫理的ジレンマ、多職種間の価値の対立、同職種での価値の対立、倫理的ジレンマを話し合う場があるか、管理者や組織的なバックアップの体制、である。現在、社会福祉士10名、介護福祉士15名、介護支援専門員5名、理学療法士5名、作業療法士5名、介護職5名のインタビューが終わっている。今後は、各職種20名程度をめざして、インタビューを続けていく。その結果が出次第、どのようなジレンマがあるか、価値の対立があるかをふまえた質問紙調査を作成し、広く関係職種への調査を実施する予定である
