今年度は，英文読解中の代名詞解釈に，動詞の潜在的因果性バイアス (implicit causality bias: ICバイアス) がどの程度利用されているのかを検証する実証実験を行った。実験では，日本人大学生に，ICバイアスが代名詞の性と一致する (e.g., Ken respected Sara because she...)，もしくは不一致 (e.g., Sara respected Ken because she...) の英文を複数，自己ペースで読んでもらい，代名詞とそれに続く領域の読解時間を測定した。読解時間を，一致不一致の条件間で統計的に比較した結果，(a) ICバイアスは代名詞解釈にリアルタイムで影響していること，さらに，(b) その影響は文処理の初期段階で発生していることが確認された。現在はこの結果を論文としてまとめている最中である。さらに，この結果を発展させるために，視線計測機器 (アイトラッカー) を導入し，これを用いた視線計測実験を計画している。次年度以降はこの実験を，可能であれば複数回行い，ICバイアスの代名詞処理への利用について，より時間的，空間的解像度の高いデータを得る。最終的には，研究期間内に，外国語文処理におけるICバイアスの影響を包括的に考察した論文を作成し，国際誌へ採択させることを目標とする。

The statistical comparison results between the solution time and the inconsistent conditions show that (a) the IC value is equal to the pronoun solution, and (b) the influence is equal to the initial stage of the text processing. Now the paper is the most important one. Today, the results of this study are published in the journal, and the visual measurement machine (VSM) is introduced, and the visual measurement system is planned for use. In the next year, the resolution of the time and space is high. Finally, during the study period, the influence of foreign language processing on the development of international journals was investigated.
