The central coordination project will support the individual projectsand consortia as the primary nuclei of interdisciplinary collaborationby providing an organizational structure of networking and exchangewithin the PP. A number of measures will be implemented including the establishment and maintenance of a web-based exchangeplatform for information of progress and on available samples,methods and characterization techniques/expertise and as well thedocumentation of important experimental data and results(publications etc.); the organization and realization of graduatestudent and methodical/technical workshops and as well scientificmeetings; the promotion of young scientists on their way into theindependent academic career; international networking and theinvitation and collaboration with Mercator Fellows; outreach andpublic relation activities, and access to gender equality measures.
