项目摘要

本課題は、虚偽検出場面における真偽判断への確信度と正確さとの関連を検討することを目的とする研究である。本年度は、前年度に収集した刺激動画とQualtrics上に作成したフォームを用いて、研究仮説検証のためのデータ収集および分析を実施した。海外のクラウドソーシングサービスであるProlificを使用し、英語母語話者200名を対象にオンライン上で実験を行った。参加者はある人物が話している16の動画を視聴し、その人物が話している内容が本当か嘘かを判断した。また、その判断についてどれほど自信があるかについても同時に判断を行った。動画を多数掲載したためプラットフォームが重くなりやすいなどの懸念がフォーム作成時にはあったものの、滞りなく実験は終了しデータ収集が完了した。分析に関しては現在実施中であるものの、現段階では真偽判断への確信度と正確さには弱い関連しか見られず、先行研究である Smith and Leach(2019) とは矛盾する結果が得られている。Smith and Leach (2019) の研究は Lukeらの未公刊研究によってもその結果が疑問視されており、本研究も Lukeらの研究結果を支持するものであったといえよう。ただし、本研究データは一人の実験参加者から16回測定を行っている階層性のあるデータであるため、今後の分析では階層性も加味して統計モデルを精緻化させていき、最終的な結論を得る予定である。

The purpose of this project is to investigate the relationship between certainty and correctness in judging authenticity in hypocritical detection situations. This year's collection of stimuli and Qualtrics is used in research and evaluation. Prolific is used by 200 native English speakers.
