Regulation of water status in poplar

植物的水分供应在生物量生产中起着关键作用，并对植物群落产生重大影响。植物的水分状况是由水分吸收和释放的动态平衡控制的。菌根相互作用对维持植物水分关系的动态平衡的贡献还知之甚少。在这项研究中，将研究杨树和菌根的相互作用，以阐明共生相互作用在维持植物水分状况和抗旱性方面的作用。

Water availability to plants plays a key role in biomass production and has a major impact on plant communities. The water status of plants is controlled by the homeostasis of water uptake and release. The contribution of mycorrhizal interactions to sustain homeostasis of plant's water relations is poorly understood. In this study, the interaction of poplar and mycorrhiza will be examined to elucidate the role of the symbiontic interaction for maintenance of water status and drought resilience in plants.
