项目摘要

本研究は、兵庫県丹波篠山市の高等学校生徒らによって作成された方言教材をもとに、面談調査、市史類の記録を通して、地域に住む若年層および中高年層にとっての「方言」とは何かを明らかにするとともに、地域住民のもつ方言意識がどのように資料上に残されるのかという、方言意識と資料への記録の残りやすさとの関連性を探ろうとするものである。本研究の目的にしたがって、[1]西日本地域に住む若年層および中高年層にとっての「方言」とは何か。[2]資料として記録に残りやすいものは何か。地域内・地域外の住民のもつ方言意識との関連性を探る。[1]のうち、兵庫県丹波篠山市での調査が現段階で残しているところである。出張および調査が可能になるまでの時期に、資料集めなど予備的段階が続いていた。そのため、先行して2022年度は、この篠山方言の若者の捉え方について、2019年度の調査をもとに[2]の調査状況と比較しながら、研究会にて報告を行った。また、〈方言意識と資料への記録の残りやすさ〉に地域性が関わるかどうかという点についても考察しているところである。[2]については、[1]と関連の中で、2021年度に整理した広島県尾道市三成地区の地域資料『三訪会会報』に掲載された方言談話について、文法記述の面から考察を行った。尾道市の近隣の地域である三原市方言についてすでに先行する研究成果があり、形容動詞の活用を中心に、比較を行った。これについては、研究発表を行い、論文化した。
