本科研は近世～近代のユーラシア大陸を主な研究対象とし、各地域におけるエスニシティと流通・交易の関係性について取り上げている。各研究分担者の専門を生かし、中央アジア、ロシア、インド、アフガニスタン、ポーランド、イギリス、地中海において、従来歴史研究対象として取り上げられることが少なかった民族・宗教・物の交流と移動の問題についてそれぞれが調査を行っている。科研期間である2020年度、2021年度においてはコロナ禍により非対面の研究会が中心であったため、研究の目的・方向性について十分に議論を尽くすことがほぼ困難だった。しかし2021年度後半（12月）からは対面研究会を実施し、各研究分担者間で情報交換を進めることができた。そこで議論したことを基に、2022年度は各分担者にそれぞれの進捗を報告してもらい、全体の方向性を話し合った。研究会の日程と概要は以下の通り。①2022年6月研究会。分担者の塩谷（昌史）よりロシア第1回国勢調査に基づくアストラハン県、カザン県の人口統計分析、塩谷（哲史）より18世紀アストラハンのアルメニア商人のデータに関する関する分析について報告を行った。②2023年3月研究会。外部から招待した山内氏よりインド・中央アジア間の茶貿易に関する分析、分担者の金澤よりイギリス・モロッコ間の虜囚貿易についての史料分析について報告を行った。予算の関係から研究会の開催数は多くなかったが、具体的な報告の比較検討により取引の地域性および類型について、また民族と宗教について検討することができた。

This scientific research is based on the modern era and modern times, and the main purpose of research is to study the relationship between circulation and transaction in various regions.
