项目摘要

本研究の目的は、日本で「特別の教科」として戦後初めて教科化された道徳教育に対し、既に教科として長く実施されてきた東南アジアの道徳教育をめぐる議論や実施体制に着目して実証的に比較検討することにより、教科としての道徳のあり方について、課題と展望を示すことにある。対象はタイ、マレーシア、インドネシアの３カ国である。本研究の成果として、試行錯誤段階にある日本の道徳教科をいかなる形で実施するのかについて基本的視座を提供することが見込まれる。さらに本研究が目指す「道徳教育の比較分析」は、単に当該国の道徳教育の実態を解明するのみならずASEAN統合やグローバル化の進展により文化・人的交流の機会が飛躍的に増大する中、「国民統合と多様な価値の共存」という相反する課題に対応しようとする道徳のあり方について、比較研究を通して新たな理論的視座を提供しうる。当初計画では、2022年度は最終第３年度にあたるが、新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大の影響により、前年度までに現地調査をはじめ第２年度までの研究を一部遂行できなかった。具体的には、前年度は代替的研究方法としてオンライン会議システムの一部整備を行い、調査協力者へのオンライン調査を実施したが、現地調査に頼らざるを得ないデータについては未収集に終わった。そこで、2022年度は、第２年度の「各国における道徳教育の基本理念およびその実施体制の分析」のうち実施体制の分析について現地調査を行いつつ、最終第３年度本来の「各国における道徳教育の実践にみる多様な価値の共存」の検討を部分的に行うよう計画修正を行った。具体的には、年度当初に関連学会（日本比較教育学会第58回大会）でこれまでの研究成果の一部を発表した。次に2022年度は、インドネシアの小学校において現地調査を実施し、現地調査でしか得られないデータの収集を行った。
