项目摘要

本研究は、グローバル化が一層進展する現代社会にあって、国民の育成に貢献しうる歴史認識の育成を図るため、対外認識を育成する外国史と自国史との一体的な把握を実現する歴史教育論の理論的基盤を探究する基礎的研究である。令和4年度は、国外での調査を実施できなかった本研究の進捗状況を踏まえ、令和3年度の研究課題を継続することとなった。高等学校地理歴史科の新科目「歴史総合」の履修が実際に始まり、新たに設定された科目としての性格を踏まえた学習目標と学習内容、及びそれらの具体的なあらわれである教科書等の教材に見られる具体的な歴史記述及び史資料とその扱いについて分析・検討を行った。以上の課題に関して得られた成果だが、以下のように整理される。現代的な諸課題につながる歴史的な状況を捉える観点として提示された「自由と制限」「富裕と貧困」「対立と協調」「統合と分化」「開発と保全」という5つの観点は、新科目「歴史総合」の実践を通して近代以降の国民国家のあり方を学ぶ上で、学習者の現実社会に見られる社会的事象より出発、遡及して設定しうる多様な「問い」を学習活動として実現する観点となりうるものであった。また、時間的な縦断、空間的な横断を可能とするテーマとそれを基にした学習計画及び学習方法としての「問い」は、多様な史資料の活用とそれらに基づく考察、説明、議論といった、「社会的事象の歴史的な見方・考え方」を獲得するための一連の学習活動として組織されうるものであった。一方、「問い」を軸とした学習活動の展開は、グローバル化の有する地球規模の空間的なつながりの成立とその変遷、変容を捉えるうえで、主に学習内容の量的な面から、これまでの高等学校での歴史学習と同様、配当時間に対する履修計画の実行、及びそれに伴う新科目の有する目標到達の難しさという現実的な問題という側面が表出していることもまた確認された。
