本研究は、古代インドの宗教文献群ヴェーダ文献のうち、儀礼解釈の最も古い記述を含むマイトラーヤニー・サンヒターの、基礎研究（原典校訂、現代語訳）を目的としている。マイトラーヤニー・サンヒターの批判校訂本としてはvon Schroeder版が存在するが、出版から130年以上を経て、現代の言語学の水準に照らして多くの訂正が必要とされる。現代語訳はマイトラーヤニー・サンヒター全４巻のうち第１巻および２巻の散文（儀礼解釈）部分のドイツ語訳が研究代表者天野によって出版されているが、その他の部分は未訳である。新校訂本および未訳部分の現代語訳は、研究史上焦眉の課題として待ち望まれている。１）原典校訂について。、新発見の写本合計３８本を2021年度までに読み終え、原文解釈を行いながら批判校訂本の作成を進めている。本年度までに、マイトラーヤニー・サンヒター全４巻のうち第１巻が完成し、第３巻の大部分についても作成した。２）現代語訳について。マイトラーヤニー・サンヒターのうち未訳なのは、第１－２巻のマントラ部分および第３－４巻である。このうち第３－４巻の散文（儀礼解釈）部分を優先して進めている。第３巻の散文部分はほぼ読み終え、ドイツ語訳および訳注の作成を行っている。第４巻の散文部分の読解も本年度に取り掛かり大いに進捗した。３）これらの基礎研究をもとに、マイトラーヤニー・サンヒターの成立過程、同時代の他の文献との関係、それらの背景となるヴェーダ期社会の変遷について、考察を進めた。重要な成果は、2023年1月に、第１８回国際サンスクリット学会（キャンベラ、オンライン開催）において、マイトラーヤニー・サンヒターについての特別部会を開催したことである。研究代表者天野、研究分担者伊澤を含む日本人研究者三名の他、インド、フランス、ベルギーの研究者が発表およびディスカッションを行った。

This study aims at the study of ancient religious literature, the study of ritual interpretation and the study of basic research (original edition and modern language). The von Schroeder edition has existed for more than 130 years, and it is necessary to revise it according to the standards of modern linguistics. The modern language is full of 4 volumes, the 1st and 2nd volumes of prose (ritual interpretation), and the research representative Amano is published in the middle and other parts are not yet published. The newly revised edition contains some modern language and research topics. 1) The original edition is revised. The total number of newly published manuscripts is 38. In 2021, the final version of the original manuscript is published, and the critical revision version is published. This year, the first and most of the fourth tracks were completed and completed. 2) Modern language.マイトラーヤニー·サンヒターのうち未訳なのは、第1-2巻のマントラ部分および第3-4巻である。The third and fourth volumes of prose (ritual solution) are given priority. The third part of the essay is composed of two parts: the final part of the essay, the German part and the note.
