项目摘要

当該年度は新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響による滞在国のロックダウンなどにより参加・発表を予定していた多くの学会が延期・中止になり、さらに文献収集も研究所の閉鎖により叶わなかったものの、それ以前に収集した文献の分析に加え、トランシルヴァニア・ザクセン人たちが当該地域へ移住し始めた時期（12世紀から13世紀）のドイツ語のコーパス分析を行い、トランシルヴァニア・ザクセン方言に見られるauchの並列接続詞的用法の文法的ルールが、ドイツ語の古形に由来するものではなく、トランシルヴァニアで独自に発達したものであると概ね言うことができるという結果を得ることができた。また、トランシルヴァニア・ザクセン方言により1800年から1900年代初頭に書かれた文献を分析した結果、バイリンガル化が進んでいたとは言えない時期からすでに並列接続詞としてのauchのcategory-specificなルールが見られることがわかった。本研究で確立を目指す言語機能のアクティベート化理論については、und-auchの言語類型論的関係性、言語機能的関連、また、ゲルマン諸語の歴史言語学的な関係性を鑑みると、当該現象が起こりうるいくつかの「ポテンシャル」が、言語接触という言語を取り巻く環境を変え得る事情により、オンの状態（アクティベート化）になったりオフの状態（非アクティベート化）になったりすることにより、特徴的な言語変化が起こったというように、理論の精密化を図ることができた。auchが完全にundを排除しないことに関してはドイツ語が公用語として使用されてきた地域との関わりという外的要因に加え、言語内的・機能的要因としての並列（enumerativity）と順接（resultativity）が大きく関わっていると考えられ、これを当該言語の個別事象として捉えるか、本理論に取り込むことができるか今後検討が必要である。
