项目摘要

2021年度の研究成果に関して、研究目的に即して、順に整理していく。まず、A.(1)スピノザ（主義）批判の時代的前提の解明に関して、2020年度は18世紀前葉ドイツにおけるスピノザの用例（主に哲学者や神学者のテクストでの用例）を整理し、見取り図を獲得した段階であった。その成果を踏まえ、2021年度はバウムガルテンに直接的な影響を与えたランゲ-ヴォルフ論争の検討に取り組んだ。当該論争の内容の検討はもちろんのこと、そこでの論点が2020年度の成果と照らした際にいかなる点で同時代的で、あるいはカント以降の議論を予感させるような独自性をもつのかを検討することで、当該論争がスピノザを巡る論争史のなかの一つの転換点であったことが、その論題の面から明らかにされた。また、A.(2)スピノザ（主義）批判を軸とした論争史の構築に関しては、2020年度におけるバウムガルテン『形而上学』諸版の異同への注目から、そこでの異同とスピノザ論争との関係をより明瞭に示すよう努めた。このことは同時に、『形而上学』を貫く一つの問題意識の解明でもあったことも書き添えておきたい。彼の同著作は、たしかに初版こそヴォルフ学派を広めるためのよく出来た教科書であったが、二版以降は同時代を代表するスピノザ論争への応答の書であり、伝統的な実体概念の乗り越えを図った野心的な著作である。スピノザ論争に焦点を当てて同時期のテクストを解釈し直すことは、従来看過されてきた重大な側面を照らし出すことを、バウムガルテンと彼へと至る当時の思想家の検討を行った本研究は示している。まさに、ここにB. 18 世紀ドイツ啓蒙思想の見直しという本研究課題の最終目的が果たされたと考える。
