本年度は、まず6月の日本比較政治学会研究大会において「20世紀前半のヨーロッパ『周辺』における政治変動」と題したパネルを組織し、研究代表者・分担者の研究成果の中間報告を行った。このパネルでは、他地域の政治史研究者や理論的視座からの貴重なフィードバックを得て、本研究計画での視座がバルカン半島・イベリア半島を超えて応用できることが確認された。さらに、本年度は新型コロナ感染症の流行状況がある程度改善に向かったことで、研究分担者は、2023年3月にマドリードで調査を行い、プリモ・デ・リベーラ独裁(1923-30年)に関する貴重な一次史料を渉猟することができた。また、2022年12月にポルトガル・リスボンで開催された国際セミナーにおいて、戦間期イベリア半島の権威主義体制に関する報告を行った。他方で、研究代表者は、家庭の事情もあり、新型コロナ感染症に細心の注意を払う必要があったため、ルーマニア・ブルガリアでの現地調査を行うことができなかった。したがって、今年度も二次文献の収集・アップデートと、戦間期権威主義体制にかかわる「ファシズム化」概念の有効性の検証を軸に分析枠組の精緻化を進めた。加えて、比較政治学のテキストの１節として、歴史的背景・含意を踏まえつつ、ルーマニアとブルガリアのクライエンテリズムに関する解説を執筆した。なお、本年度も代表者と分担者は、対面及びオンライン上での複数回の研究打ち合わせを実施し、研究状況の確認や分析枠組みの精緻化、研究の発展の方向性などについて精力的な検討を行った。
