令和４（２０２２）年度における研究活動では、学会発表や論文執筆、およびそれらに向けた連携研究者・海外共同研究者との打合せ・研究会等を含む準備作業と、海外製品開発事例の調査を中心におこなった。これらの研究活動では、製品開発という企業の機密事項を扱う点から、調査データの処理・蓄積・公表は慎重に実施してきた。また、本研究の調査内容には工学的な専門用語が少なからず含まれ、また英語でのインタビューもあるため、調査内容の文書化過程ではデータの正確さの確保にも配慮した。さらに、本研究ではインタビュー等のデータの文書化・管理等を研究代表者が直接行った。これらの研究上の方針・手法はこれまですでに実施してきたものである。なお、本研究の方針・手法は、企業活動の歴史的経緯を丹念に解明する研究アプローチに適しており、さらに研究経費の抑制の点等でも有効であると考えられる。これらを踏まえた研究成果をもとに学会発表および論文投稿（学術誌にて査読・採択済み、2023年4月現在校正中、同年度中に公表予定）を実施した。また、年度前半においては、新型感染症の流行のため、昨年に引き続いて予定していた海外調査・打ち合わせ、国内調査を中止せざるを得なかった。ただし、遠隔対応による企業調査や学会発表、打ち合わせについては、国内・海外にかんして実施した。さらに、年度後半においては、新型感染症の流行がおさまってきたことから、国内・海外における調査および打ち合わせを複数回実施することができた。今後は遠隔・対面による対応も適宜取り入れながら、調査活動や研究発表を推進していく予定である。
