引き続く新型コロナウィルスの世界的な感染拡大と感染防止措置により、ドイツへの渡航が今なお叶わず、現地調査がまったくできなかった。電子メールにてフィールド先との連絡は継続しており、先方からも訪問を歓迎したい旨を受け取っているが、いつ調査ができるのか、何ら見通しが立たないままに時間のみが経過している。本期間に行えた作業は、インターネット上の情報収集と若干の関係資料の入手に留まる。当初予定していた現地でのフィールドワークの目処がつき、学校での観察、校長、教員ほか関係者へのインタビュー、フィールドノーツの作成といった活動に臨むことができることを望むばかりである。
