令和４年７月に、令和３年度の研究成果の一部を「積雪地における公設の屋内遊び場の設置の動向　－北海道・山形県・石川県における調査報告－」として、2022年度こども環境学会大会（東京）のポスターセッションにて発表した。当該発表は、その学術的な内容と構成等により“優秀ポスター発表賞”（田川正毅・塚本未来）を得た。この研究発表を行った理由は、積雪地においては冬とその前後の天候不順な時期に身体を動かす遊び場の確保が共通の課題で比較考察に適していること、北海道・東北・北陸にはそれぞれ公設の屋内遊び場の設置が先行する自治体が多く地域固有の事情について把握しやすいこと、全国の公設屋内遊び場を比較考察する前段階としても適切と考えた為である。令和４年度には、引き続き未調査の地域の公設屋内遊び場の現地調査を重ねた。その内容は、①設置自治体の担当部局への設置背景等の聞き取り、②屋内遊び場の視察による空間構成や設置遊具等の記録、③屋内遊び場の運営管理者への課題等の聞き取りである。現地調査を行った場所は、広島県三次市、兵庫県明石市、大阪府寝屋川市、京都府宮津市、奈良県桜井市、福岡県北九州市、山口県下関市、等である。調査地域の選定は、令和２年度の設置自治体アンケートの内容に基いた。積雪寒冷地でなくても研究対象となる屋内遊び場は分布している。また、大阪府には現地調査対象施設以外にも体育館を再利用した広い屋内遊び場やチルドレンズミュージアムに近い大型の公設屋内遊び場が複数ある。地方都市に限らず、大都市部における屋内遊び場のあり方にも示唆を与え資料を収集した。研究初年度から令和４年度までの研究全体のまとめの一つとして、公共的な屋内遊び場の企画・構想および計画・設計のプロセスにおける主な留意点を　令和５年９月に日本建築学会大会（京都）にて発表予定である。
