项目摘要

本研究の目的は「ソーシャル・アントレプレナーは社会的目的と経済的目的を達成する上で、どのような戦略を立てているのか、その戦略の立案プロセスに何が影響を与えるのか」を明らかにすることである。本年度は複数の起業家へのインタビューを実施し、どのように社会的価値と経済的価値を両立するようなビジネスを設立するに至ったのか、どのような戦略的思考をもってビジネスを行っているのかについて調査を行った。ある女性の社会起業家はフィリピンの雇用の問題に対して服飾ビジネスを通じて解決を図っていたが、積極的に社会問題を解決しようと思っていたというよりも、結果として社会問題の解決に結びつき、今ではエシカル消費やSDGsと結びつけて製品が扱われるようになっていることがインタビューから明らかになった。また、他の男性の社会起業家もまた明確な戦略はなく、まずは学校を設立してネパールの教育問題の解決を目指したという。それゆえ、この男性起業家は資金面で苦労をし、学校のロケーションを都市部にすることで少し高めの学費を設定して事業を回しているという。こうした社会起業家からは、明確なビジネスモデルが先にあったというよりも、自分が目の当たりにした社会問題に対してどうアプローチできるのかを考え、事業の収益性については実際に事業を始めてから考えるという順番をたどっていた。一方、この傾向は一般的な起業家のインタビューからは見られなかった。ある女性の起業家はまずビジネスチャンスを見つけ、どこから収益を得るのかを考えて事業をスタートさせていた。
