The project concerns the design of discrete velocity models for the numerical simulation of gas flows in the transition region between rarefied gas theory and fluid dynamics.Based on the results of a previous project, the focus lies on the simulation of real gas effects, in particular gas mixtures. Another focus is the investigation of algebraic properties, particularly of three-dimensional models.We will derive and implement efficient numerical schemes on parallelized architectures (CUDA).
