项目摘要

研究1 "Demand for temperature and rainfall index insurance in India,” について、申請者が実際に調査地・インドにおいて行った保険販売実験データと家計調査データを用い、気温保険・降水量保険の需要とサンプル家計の社会経済的出自の関係性を計量経済学的に分析した。9月末に改訂要求を得たため、大幅な改訂を行い、再投稿、2度目の改訂要求後に再改訂を行い、採択された。2019年5月号に掲載予定である。研究2“Direct and indirect impacts of index-based livestock insurance in southern Ethiopia”について、エチオピアにて2012年から販売している牧畜民向け家畜保険を取り上げた。現地での生計である牧畜は、干ばつの影響で深刻な影響を受けるため、衛星写真を用いた植生指数をインデックスとした家畜保険が年2回・過去6回販売された（販売実験を含む）。この保険により所得・資産・消費等の生計に与えたインパクトを計量経済学的に分析した。10月初めに改訂要求を得たため、大幅な改訂を行い、再投稿、2度目の改訂要求後に再改訂、再提出を行い、採択された。2019年6月号に掲載予定である。研究3 "Financial inclusion and female empowerment: Evidence from Honduras"について、ホンジュラスにおいて行われた金融教育研修が女性の社会参画に与えた影響について分析した。3月にWestern Economic Association Internationalにて報告を行った。ここで得られたコメントを元にさらなる改訂を行った。研究4「昭和初期における農業家計データの整備」について、データベースの作成を開始した。
