项目摘要

本研究は、植民地台湾における初等教育が、日本語で創作を行った台湾人作家へもたらした影響や教育的効果を検証することを目的としている。1919年の台湾教育令施行後、書房を通した伝統的啓蒙教育（四書五経など儒教的教養）が次第に禁止されていく中、日本語による公学校教育で教養的基盤を形成した龍瑛宗、張文環を中心に調査を行なった。研究成果としては、2022年12月に行われた第7回日本移民学会冬季研究大会にて、「戦時下植民地台湾文学に見るエスニシティとアイデンティテー作家・龍瑛宗を例に」の口頭発表を行った。また、植民地台湾における初等教育に関連するテーマとしては、ヨーロッパ台湾研究学会（EATS）2022年度大会にて、「A Chimera of Colonial Education: Wu Feng’s Tale in Japanese Textbooks」をテーマに口頭発表を行い、漢民族向けの『国語』教科書における台湾先住民族への眼差しや描き方を再検討した。明治期の第一期教科書から現れた教育方針において、複層的なエスニシティーと社会階層がいかに統治集団である総督府に捉えられ、初等教育に反映され続けた事実を検討した。また、新型コロナウイルスによる入国制限が緩和されたのに伴い、2023年2月に台湾への資料収集や現地調査も実現できた。第一次資料を閲覧と収集とともに、龍瑛宗の生家である新竹県北浦地域に訪問し、龍がかつて薫陶を受けた旧公学校（現在、当時の教員宿舎の建物を改修した「龍瑛宗文学記念館」）できた。目下は、二人目の作家である張文環を中心に研究を進めている。

This study aims to prove the effects of Japanese language works on primary education in Taiwan. After the implementation of the Taiwan Education Act in 1919, the study was conducted in a systematic way (four books and five books), and the basic framework of public school education was formed in order of prohibition. Long Yingzong and Zhang Wenhuan conducted a central investigation. Research Results: The 7th Winter Research Conference of the Japanese Immigration Society was held in December 2022, and the oral presentation of "Taiwan Literature in Contemporary China" was held. A Chimera of Colonial Education: Wu Feng's Tale in Japanese Textbooks "was presented at the 2022 Annual Conference of the Taiwan Research Society (EATS). The first textbook of Meiji period reflects the educational policy, multi-layer social stratum, governance group, government and primary education. In addition, immigration restrictions on the new Urokuiele have been eased, and data collection and on-site surveys in Taiwan have been carried out in February 2023.
