项目摘要

本研究の目的は、「元禄」を鍵語とし、近世後期～昭和期における考証趣味のネットワークの内実の解明および、考証の成果と文芸作品との関係について明らかにすることで、新たに考証趣味を視座とした文芸史観を形成することである。設定した三つの小テーマ（Ａ.『画師姓名冠字類鈔』を手掛かりとした考証趣味のネットワークの研究Ｂ.近世後期俗文芸における「元禄」についての研究Ｃ.明治以降俗文芸における「元禄」についての研究）のうち、今年度は特にA、Bに重点的に取り組んだ。Aの成果としては、平戸藩主の蔵書コレクション調査をふまえ、江戸の戯作壇と、平戸九代目藩主の松浦静山との交流について、長崎奉行を勤めた江戸の文化人・大田南畝の動向を手掛かりにして論じ、近世後期の知のネットワークを明らかにした「平戸・松浦史料博物館蔵の江戸戯作」（シンポジウム「海港、軍港と人文学」における口頭発表）があげられる。Bの成果としては、元禄文化を代表する近松門左衛門の浄瑠璃「津国女夫池」が先行する浮世草子を利用していることを指摘した上で、19世紀の戯作者山東京伝の作品における「津国女夫池」摂取の在り方を論じた「「津国女夫池」三段目小考―『一夜船』との比較を手掛かりに―」（『同志社国文学』98号）がある。さらに、こうした近世後期の文化人たちの自己表現について迫り、彼らの営為を社会的に位置づけた「自序に登場する〈作者〉―山東京伝の戯作から―」（シンポジウム「近世俗文芸の作者の”姿勢(ポーズ)” 」における口頭発表）が、また、本研究の特色である学際的な研究成果としては、近世期に流行した心学を、当時の戯作者がどのように理解し可視化したのかを、「雰囲気」という哲学的な視点を援用して論じた「近世日本文学と雰囲気学―近世絵本にみる「心」と「魂」と身体―」（シンポジウム「EAST WEST ATMOSPHERES」における口頭発表）がある。
