项目摘要

本研究は、1920年代後半から1930年代初頭にかけて、瀧口修造、上田敏雄、北園克衛、西脇順三郎、冨士原清一ら日本のシュルレアリスム詩人が行ったフランス・シュルレアリスム詩の翻訳の特性について明らかにし、その翻訳の経験が、翻訳者である日本のシュルレアリスム詩人の詩にどのように作用したのかを考察することを目的とするものである。令和4年4月から現在までの段階においては、まず日本のシュルレアリスム詩人やその他の翻訳者によるフランス・シュルレアリスム詩の翻訳に関する資料の網羅的な調査を進めた（現段階までに調査のできていない雑誌などについては、今後も引き続き調査を行う予定である）。その上で、瀧口修造および上田敏雄によるフランス・シュルレアリスム詩の翻訳と瀧口ら自身の詩に関わる資料の調査および考察を中心に研究を進めた。その過程で、瀧口、上田の詩について考えるには、彼らのフランス・シュルレアリスム詩の翻訳だけでなく、シュルレアリスムの前史となったダダ、とりわけダダの創始者であり、後にシュルレアリスムの運動にも関わったトリスタン・ツァラの作品の翻訳にも目を向ける必要があることが明らかになった。そのため、瀧口、上田によるシュルレアリスムおよびダダの作品の翻訳を取り上げつつ、特に1920年代後半の瀧口、上田の詩についての考察を行った。なお瀧口、上田についての研究の成果をまとめた論文等は、令和5年度中に学会誌に掲載される予定である。
