项目摘要

本研究の目的は、現代日本にけるマスメディアの政治報道が有権者に与える影響とその不均質性を、特にオンライン上の政治コミュニケーションに注目し、ネガティブとポジティブの両側面から解明することである。本年度はまず、紙媒体からオンラインの記事配信に比重を移しつつある新聞メディアを対象に、有権者への影響に関する多角的な考察に取り組んだ。その結果、2022年に実施したインターネット調査（サーベイ実験）のデータの分析などを通じ、新聞は現時点においても有権者の投票行動意図を形成するメディアであることが明らかになった。日本におけるオンライン上の政治コミュニケーションを考える上で、マスメディアを主たる分析対象とする意義が改めて確認されたと言える。また、これらの新たな分析を盛り込んだ単著の学術書を本年度中に出版することができた。次に、本研究の実施計画にも示した「オンライン上の政治ニュースへの接触が、有権者の政治意識や行動に影響を与える可能性」を検証するべく、選挙期間中のデータジャーナリズム報道の影響力に関するオンライン・フィールド実験の分析に取り組んだ。具体的には、2021年衆院選時のフィールド実験の分析結果を学会報告したほか、2022年参院選時に新たにフィールド実験を実施し、データ分析を行った。さらに、本研究の実施計画の1つである、ポータルサイト上の記事やユーザーコメントの分析に関しても研究に着手した。国内外のメディア心理学研究の文献を渉猟するともに、オンライン上のデータを収集する作業に取り組んだ。加えて、有権者のマスメディア認識や不信の不均質性を明らかにするという本研究の実施計画に対応する形で、独自に実施した有権者調査データに基づく混合分布モデルの分析を行った。その結果、有権者のマスメディア認識の多様性の存在と党派性との関連が浮き彫りになり、本研究課題全体の方向性に自信を深めることができた。
