本研究の目的は，近年の情動研究で注目を集める「情動に関する信念」に着目し、ポジティブ情動の有用性の評価と，他者の情動を調整する方略選択の関係を検討することである。本年度は，調査の実施と結果の取りまとめを中心に行った。調査内容としては，「ネガティブな情動を感じた出来事とその時の気持ち」を示した文章が参加者に提示され，この人のネガティブ情動を和らげるために，「気晴らし」と「再評価」のどちらの方略を選択するかを参加者が決定した。この時に，参加者に呈示される文章について，ネガティブな情動を比較的強く感じているものと，比較的弱く感じているものの2種類を用意し，このネガティブ情動の強度に応じて方略選択が変わるかを検討した。さらに，参加者は「情動に関する信念」を測定する質問項目に回答し，この個人差との関連についても検討を行った。また，別の調査として，文脈に応じて設定されるポジティブな情動およびネガティブな情動の有用性に対する信念が，怒り調整に対してどのように寄与するのかを検討する調査も行い，結果の取りまとめを行った。得られた結果に関して，感情心理学に関する代表的な国際学会である2023 Society for Affective Science Annual Conferenceで研究発表を行い，情動調整に関する最先端の研究について情報収集を行うとともに，他の参加者からの有益なフィードバックを得た。加えて，論文執筆を行い，国際誌に投稿を行った。さらに，計算論モデリングを目的とした調査の実施に向けて，必要な文献をレビューすることで，最新の研究動向の把握を行った。また，予備的なデータを収集し，必要な統計ソフトを用いながら，データ解析を行うことで，次の研究実施に向けた準備を進めた。
