Future land used and climate change will modify the diversity, structure and functioning of ecological communities. Using the European vertebrate food web as an example FutureWeb will address these changes in a comprehensive way. The project will use the predicted changes in the diversity and composition of European vertebrate communities to predict changes in the quantitative food webs and associated functions. Expected modifications of services will be mapped on the European grid.
