项目摘要

我が国の伝統的な言語文化への理解を深めるために、中学3年生と高校1年生を対象とした総合的な学習の時間に「文楽通になろう」という講座を開設し、1年間、人形浄瑠璃(文楽)の体験を取り入れた実践を行いながら教材開発研究を行った。具体的には、1素浄瑠璃の稽古 2文楽という伝統芸能への理解を深める活動 3生徒による人形浄瑠璃の舞台発表という3つの活動を通して、教材づくりを行った。1については、義太夫協会の協力により竹本土佐子氏と鶴澤都賀花氏の指導で「伊達娘恋緋鹿子」の「火の見櫓の段」の素浄瑠璃(語りと三味線)の稽古を行った。2については、人形浄瑠璃文楽座の協力で、文楽の舞台鑑賞を行うとともに技芸員の豊竹希大夫氏、竹澤團吾氏、吉田蓑二郎氏に芸についての解説をしていただいた他、学芸大学教授黒石陽子氏や群馬大学講師の東晴美氏に依頼して、演目についての解説や鑑賞の仕方などについての講義をしていただいた。3については、吉田簑二郎氏の指導で簡易な人形の作り方を学び、実際に生徒が制作した人形を使って稽古をつけていただき、素浄瑠璃の演奏に乗せて人形の演技を校内の発表会で披露した。このような活動を通じて、生徒が楽しみながら伝統的な言語文化について学ぶことのできるような台本や映像教材、音源教材を作ることができた。本研究に参加した生徒たちは、文楽という伝統芸能への理解を深めるとともに、日本人が伝統的に育んできた言語文化の豊かさを理解し、その価値や重要性に気づいた。その結果、自ら進んで伝統芸能を鑑賞することで後世にこれを引き継いでいこうとする思いや、日本人が長きにわたり育んできた心のあり方を大切にしていきたいという思いを抱くようになった。これは、本研究の大きな成果と言え、そこに本研究の意義や重要性がある。
