附属中学校では2年生を対象に2泊3日の自然体験学習(夏季,信州又は上越地方),3日間の職場体験学習(金沢市内秋季)を行っている。自然体験プログラムの中に自分たちの住む地域の自然保護と活用を統合的に考え,行動できる生徒の育成についての教育プログラムの開発を目的とした。金沢大学には能登半島里山・里海自然学校が開設されている。大学コンソーシアム石川シティカレッジ主催の2泊3日の能登半島里山・里海体験実習に参加し,能登地区の農林業の体験と研究者の講義等を受けた。その結果(1)生徒が行う自然観察素材(生物学,地質学)が豊富であること(2)安全・安心を求める農業体験が可能であること(3)林業体験を通しての環境保全意識の涵養と活用についての学習が可能であることが確認できた。また地域住民を中心に若い起業家を育てるプログラムも進められている。林業が盛んで生活提案型木製品を発信しているスウェーデンの学校現場を訪問し,キャリア教育が学校教育の中でどのように位置づけされているか。その成果と課題があればどのようなことなのかを調べた。森林が多いスウェーデンと違って酪農や化学製品開発の盛んで平原が多いデンマークでは「森の幼稚園」発祥の地として有名である。森とのかかわりを幼少期から培う点で興味があり,訪問し,聞き取りを行うことができた。2つの国は前者がかなり高度な工業国であること,後者は農業国であること。職業選択や教育理念にかなり差異は認めるものの,生徒の自立支援とりわけ,自己決定に基づく支援に力をいれていること。リカレント教育を個の権利として十分に支援していることは共通であり,働くことの意義を常に個々人に問いかけさせていることが感じられた。現在行われている中学2年生対象の職場体験学習には多くの問題点や課題があることがわかった。展望としてのキャリア教育につなげていくべく研究を続けていきたい。
