今年度本研究では、以下のことを行った。(1)p次元正規分布モデルの平均ベクトルθについて、帰無仮説HO:θ=0を対立仮説H1:'θは凸錐cに含まれる'に対し検定する問題を考える。この問題は応用統計の分野でしばしば現れる「不等式制約下の統計的推測」の一つの典型例である。この検定問題における尤度比検定統計量の帰無分布はカイバー2乗分布と呼ばれるカイ2乗分布の有限混合分布になることはよく知られている。しかしその混合確率(重み)の意味は今までは不明確であった。今回の研究では、この重みが凸錐cの側面の曲率の積分値で陽に表すことができることを示し、併せていくつかの凸錐cについてその重みを具体的に計算した。またこれらの結果は、非線形回帰モデル・確率場の最大値の分布理論などに用いられるHotelling-Weylの方法と密接な関係があることが分かった。本結果は、現在投稿中である。(2)次に、指数分布族における凸錐制約検定の尤度比検定統計量の帰無分布について考察した。その帰無分布は、漸近的にカイバー2乗分布に従うことは以前から知られていたが、今回、その重みが凸錐cの側面のe-曲率の積分値で表すことができることを示した。さらに、鞍点法によるアプローチを用いることにより、検定統計量の分布関数の漸近展開の高次項も、その主項と同様、幾何学的諸量で表すことができることを示した。
