项目摘要

本研究は、内容を母語文化に文脈化して聞き取り教材をパーソナライズすることにより、学習に対する動機づけ及び学習ストラテジーの使用にどのような影響があるか調査することを目的としている。計画段階では今回の研究課題に含まれていなかった学習パフォーマンスに対する影響も調べられた。聞き取り教材の母語文化文脈化が、動機づけ及び学習ストラテジー使用を高めるとする仮説に対して、その傾向は見られたが統計的に有為な結果を得ることはできなかった。これには、教材の難易度が影響した可能性がある。しかし、今回用いられた学習方法、即ち同一テキストの一部を差し替えた聞き取り教材を繰り返し聞くという方法が、文脈化の如何に関わらず学習達成度を高めることが確かめられた。また、動機づけの分類についてクラスター分析を行った。Gardnerらが行った研究により半ば定説化している道具的動機づけと統合的動機づけの間に差異は見られず、どちらも言語運用力指向動機づけとして同じ階層に分類された。これに対するグループとして人間的成長指向動機づけが見られた。学習ストラテジー使用との関係では、前者が記憶・認知・メタ認知・社交ストラテジーと正の相関を持ち、後者が認知ストラテジーと負の相関を持つことがわかった。本研究により、学習教材の文化文脈より、動磯づけの種類が学習ストラテジーの使用に重要な意味を持つらしいことがわかった。しかし、今回の研究はパイロット・スタディ的性格を持つものであり、また、個人情報を聞き取り教材の内容に盛り込む等、パーソナライゼーションの方法を変えることで期待した影響が得られることも考えられ、今後の研究が待たれる。さらに、同一テキストの一部差し替えを伴う繰り返し練習が、聞き取り学習の達成度に好影響を与えることが確かめられたので、この学習方法について理論・応用の両面から、継続して研究を続けることが望まれる。
