项目摘要

この研究では,おもに活用を中心として,各地方言の文法の対応関係を明らかにし,その背景にある歴史について考察を行った。1. 活用の対応活用は,各地方言で対応関係を明確に示す。その対応関係をとらえるために, 「活用の類」という考え方を道具として用いると,歴史的な関係も十分に把握できることを明らかにした。2. 活用の独自変化各地方言の中には独自に具体的な活用の形態を変化させている例も少なくない。従来,「類推」として説明されることが多かった事例を, 「活用の整合化」という考え方で捉らえ直し,活用体系全体に一部分の変化が及ぼす影響を明らかにすることができた。3. 残存する文法歴史的中央語でかつて使われた活用体系を現在も残す方言がある。同時に中央語ですでに失われた「係り結び」のような語法を現在も生産的に使っている方言がある。実際の用法について,臨地調査により把握した。4. 先史的残存文献には記録されていない先史的活用を有していると推測される方言がある。従来,新しいと考えられてきた東北北部の動詞「する」の活用について,考察し直すことにより,実際には相当に古いという仮説を提示した。5. 分布以上について,さまざまな分布地図を描くことにより,裏付けを行った。
