本申請研究の本年度における主たる成果は、昨年度の研究により明らかにされた郭店楚簡の性説の背後にある「性即気の思考」を前提として、『中庸』の「誠」の思想及び『五行』の思想について再検討を行った点にある。『中庸』中の「誠」の説を語る部分は、郭店楚簡との密接な関係を指摘することができる。従来、『中庸』のこの部分は、秦以後の成立であると見なされ、その思想も秦以後の時代・思想を前提として論じらていたが、これはむしろ郭店楚簡あたりの示す時代・思想との関係において論じられるべきものだったのである。このことを指摘するとともに、『中庸』の「誠」が自己の「性」を天与のままに発現させ得る内的状態としてとらえることができること、郭店楚簡に見える化育の条件としての「信」が『中庸』では「誠」の語で言い換えられ、これが上の内的状態と同一視されていること、この同一視によって自己修養と民衆化育との間に理論的な橋渡しがなされている点に『中庸』の独自性があることなどを示した。『五行』に関しては、「性即気の思考」を前提とすることによって、その説が「仁気」「義気」「礼気」「智気」「聖気」を天与のままに発現させる工夫を述べたものとして整理され得ることを示した。また『五行』が想定する「知る」ことの特異性を指摘するとともに、『五行』における二つの「知る」力である「智」から「聖」への移行が、個の把握から類の把握へという形で整理され得ることなどを示し、『五行』の思想を新たに体系的に理解する道を拓いた。なお、計画に示した、郭店楚簡の訳注作業の成果については、内外の研究者による注釈的研究への補訂という形で、今後、公表していくこととしたい。
