研究計画に基づき、1 静内町教育委員会所蔵の基礎語彙調査テープ(約60時間)のMDへの複製を終え、またその他の分野の調査テープについても約380時間分の複製を終えた。2 1の基礎語彙調査テープについて、文字化と電子化を完了した。3 これまで奥田が採録したアイヌ語資料について、新たに口頭文芸5篇を文字化し、日本語対訳を付した。4 以上の作業のなかでの疑問点について、静内および周囲の方言の話者に対する聞き取り調査を行った。5 以上によって得られた語彙と、すでに『アイヌ語静内方言文脈つき語彙集』(1999)にまとめた語彙とを比比較し、約1500語の新たな語彙を得た。6 1〜3の成果を静内町教育委員会に提出した。7 1・2の成果の一部を、石井米雄・千野栄一(編)『世界のことば100語辞典 アジア編』(三省堂)に公表した。
